The new A+ 2009 course has two exams that need to be passed: The ‘Essentials’ exam (220-701) and the ‘Practical Application’ exam (220-702). Passing both of these will mean you’re considered A+ competent.
Many training institutions are still operating on the older 2006/2007 syllabus (exams 220-601 – 220-604.) But these exams are being phased out during 2010, so re-certification will be necessary due to the ISO requirement of 3-yearly updates.
